“Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it. The man who knows how will always have a job. The man who also knows why will always be his boss.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I would really like to start showing fun pictures of paint colors and faucets and tile, but we are still in the rebuilding phase. we have moved from the downstairs to the second floor and roof structure. The original rafters were 2″x4″s with a 2″x4″ collar tie nailed to the side. The lighter color is the first step that Cole put in to fix the sag in the roof.
Below you can see that the new rafters are a combined 8″ and the new collar ties are 2″x6″ in-line with the rafters. We also put up the bathroom wall in for the master bath. This will probably be the largest bathroom I have seen in this vintage of a house. It is going to be awesome.
The downstairs is slowly making progress. In the bottom part of this image are the 2×4’s that were replaced in the attic.
I also wanted to play around with the HD setting on my camera ; )
